Domestic Outdoor is the project of the “Final Synthesis Laboratory” which I realized with 3 coworkers. The aim of the course was to reload some downgraded parts of San Siro’s quarter, Milan.
Laundry
The laundry set allows people to wash their clothes inside 5 washing-drying machines. Otherwise they can use the handbasins. Users can find the detergents in a specific dispenser. On the back, people can seat on benches.
Relax
The orange set is used for relaxing. There are many places to seat and talk. People can also take a coffee from the drink dispenser. Wooden shelfs permit the book-crossing activity.
Ironing
The ironing set allows people to iron their clothes on original boards that trace the human silhouette. They can be placed at different heights in order to guarantee the most comfortable and the safest position.
Garbage & Bikes
The project action defined the other parts of the courtyard through the installation of a garbage set and a bikes set. In the first one, people can do the separate collection of rubbish and find the cleaning tools. In the second one, the inhabitants can park and repair their own bikes.
